選修英語課程簡介

1. 大二(含)以上學生始可修習「選修英語」課程。

2. 選修英語課程針對不同主題規劃為四大課群： (一) 英語檢定課群、(二) 職場英語課群、(三) 專業英語課群、(四) 多元文化課群。每門課程皆標記課程難易度，提供參考。(比照「全民英檢」考試程度) 為保障同學選課權利，每人每學期至多可選修兩門課程。

3. 「選修英語」每班修習人數之上限為 64 人（「互動室體育英語」之上限為30人、「放眼自然學英語」之上限為40人)。各年級選課優先順序為：(1)大四 (2)大三 (3)大二。

4. 「選修英語」不開放大一生修習，但通過免修大一英文申請或具免修申請資格(成績達CEFR B1等級)之大一生，可申請修習「選修英語」之「進階英語課程」(包括「托福聽力與口說」、「中高級英檢聽講」、「進階英語閱讀與寫作」)。(請詳閱進階英語課程介紹)

5. 「選修英語」於選課期間一律以線上加退選作業為主，恕不受理強制加選，「選修英語」修習相關規定以外語教學中心最新公告為主。

Introduction to Elective English Courses

1. Only sophomore students (and above) are eligible to take “Elective English” courses.
2. Elective English courses are divided into four major categories based on different themes:
   (1) English Proficiency Test,
   (2) Workplace English,
   (3) English for Specific Purposes,
   (4) Multiculturalism English.
   Each course is labeled with a difficulty level for reference (based on the CEFR/GEPT scale).
   To ensure fairness in course selection, each student may register for up to two elective English courses per semester.
3. The enrollment cap for each “Elective English” class is 64 students (30 students for Interactive Sports English; 40 students for Nature English: Exploring Language through the Lens of Nature). Priority for enrollment is given in the following order: (1) Seniors, (2) Juniors, (3) Sophomores.
4. Freshmen are not eligible to take “Elective English” courses. However, freshmen who have been granted an exemption from Freshman English, or those who qualify for exemption (with CEFR B1 or above), may apply to take Advanced English Courses under “Elective English” (including TOEFL Listening and Speaking, English Test Preparation-High-Intermediate Listening and Speaking, and Advanced English Reading and Writing). 5. Course registration and withdrawal for “Elective English” must be completed online during the official course drop/add period. No manual overrides or forced add requests will be accepted. Regulations for “Elective English” follow the most recent announcements from the Foreign Language Center.
