靜宜大學外語教學中心教師考核作業要點

 

民國1080709日校教評會議核

 

一、靜宜大學外語教學中心(以下簡稱本中心)為提昇教師教學及服務與輔導品質,並作為教師續聘或不續聘之依據,特訂定本校外語教學中心教師考核作業要點(以下簡稱本要點)。

二、本中心專案約聘教師每學年須接受考核。

三、本中心專案約聘教師考核,由教師備妥資料,經本中心主任初審後,送院教師評審委員會複審。

四、考核項目分教學及服務與輔導大類,考核指標項目及其計分標準表詳如附件。

五、教學及服務與輔導大類累計考核分數總分八十五分者視為及格,其中教學類成績須達五十分。。

六、受考核教師,須依本中心規定填報考核計分標準表並提出相關佐證資料以供審查確認;未提出或所附資料不實致影響評估結果者,由受考核教師自行負責。

七、考核之結果,經院教師評審委員會審議確認後,提請校教評會進行續聘或不續聘之決議。

八、教師考核案須經三分之二以上院教師評審委員會委員出席及出席委員三分之二以上審議通過。

九、院教師評審委員會開會時,得視需要邀請受考核教師列席會議。

十、本要點未盡事宜,悉依本校相關規定及聘約辦理。

十一、本要點經院教師評審委員會通過後實施,並送校級教師評審委員會備查,修正時亦同。

Operation Guidelines for Teacher Evaluation in the Foreign Language Center of Providence University

 

Approved at the University Faculty Review Committee dated July 9, 2019

 

Article 1

For the enhancement of teachers’ teaching, and service and counseling and for the consideration of teachers’ renewed employment or renewed employment denial, “Operation Guidelines for Teacher Evaluation in the Foreign Language Center of Providence University” has been enacted (hereinafter, “the guidelines”).

 

Article 2

All of the full-time contract-based faculty in the Center have to be evaluated every academic year.

 

Article 3

Teachers need to prepare documents for the full-time contract-based teacher evaluation, which will be first checked by the Director of FLC and reviewed by the College Faculty Review Committee.

 

Article 4

The evaluation items are classified into two major categories, “teaching”, and “service and counseling.” The grading criteria for the items and evaluation form are shown in the attachment of the guidelines.

 

Article 5

The passing score of this evaluation is 85 points, adding up from the two major categories, “teaching” and “service and counseling”, and the minimum score for the “teaching” category is 50 points.

 

Article 6

The teachers who are to be evaluated should fill in the evaluation form and provide relevant documents for review. They should be responsible for insufficient documents or inaccurate information being submitted, which consequently influences the result of the evaluation.

 

Article 7

The result of the evaluation, after reviewed in the College Faculty Review Committee, will be submitted to the University Teacher Review Committee for reaching a resolution of renewed employment or renewed employment denial of teachers for the following academic year.

 

Article 8

To review the evaluation, the number present must exceed two-thirds of the Committee, and passing it requires more than two-thirds of the present members’ votes.

 

Article 9

When necessary, the evaluated teachers are to be invited to report or explain in the College Faculty Review Committee.

 

Article 10

The matters (of the guidelines) not mentioned herein will follow other relevant regulations and the employment contract of the University.

 

Article 11

The guidelines will be put into practice after being passed at the College Faculty Review Committee and approved at the University Faculty Review Committee. Any revisions will follow the same procedure.
